文史哲研究院成立于2002年,是由原山东大学文史哲研究所、古籍整理研究所、民俗学研究所合并组建而成。现任院长傅永军教授,院党总支书记巴金文副研究员,副院长李平生教授、宋开玉副教授、杜泽逊教授。
山东大学素以文史见长。20世纪30年代,以闻一多、梁实秋、杨振声、老舍、沈从文、洪深等为代表的著名作家、学者在这里曾谱写过辉煌的篇章。20世纪50年代以来,以冯沅君、陆侃如、高亨、萧涤非、殷孟伦、殷焕先为代表的中国古典文学、汉语言文字学,以丁山、郑鹤声、黄云眉、张维华、杨向奎、童书业、王仲荦、赵俪生为代表的中国古代史研究,使山东大学成为当时海内外瞩目的文史研究重镇。以这些学者为依托的《文史哲》杂志,将山东大学的人文学术地位推向颠峰。但是,随着时代的深刻变迁,和国内其他重点高校一样,山东大学的文史研究也面临着严峻挑战。如何重振昔日的文史辉煌,是山东大学领导和师生共同的课题。“周虽旧邦,其命维新”。山东大学文史哲研究院正是在这一特殊的背景下成立的,她肩负着不可推卸的历史重任,将构成山东大学文史学科一个新的增长点。
文史哲研究院目前设有哲学研究所、民俗研究所、古代文学与文艺学研究所、汉语史研究所、古典文献研究所、史学理论与中国历史研究所6个二级研究机构,拥有中国古典文献学、中国民间文学2个独立博士点,与其他院部共建中国古代文学、汉语言文字学、史学理论及史学史、专门史、中国近现代史、外国哲学、科学技术哲学7个博士点,共建哲学、文学、史学3个一级学科博士后流动站;有外国哲学、科学技术哲学、民俗学、中国民间文学、文艺学、汉语言文字学、中国古典文献学、中国古代文学、史学理论及史学史、专门史、中国近现代史11个硕士点。“中国古典文献学” 先后被批准为山东省重点学科和国家重点(培育)学科,“民俗学研究所”被批准为山东省非物质文化遗产研究基地。另有图书资料室3个,藏书颇丰。
文史哲研究院拥有一支敬业博学的优秀师资队伍,现有教职工43人,其中教授19人,副教授10人,讲师7人;博士生导师12人,具有博士学位的教师占教师人数的67%;杜泽逊教授入选国家教育部新世纪优秀人才支持计划。建院以来,共培养博士研究生110名,硕士研究生379名,焦桂美博士获得2008年全国百篇优秀博士学位论文奖;现有在读博士生、硕士生210余人。
文史哲研究院的中心任务是从事高精尖学术研究和高水平研究生的培养。建院以来,在各学科领域都取得了突出的成绩,成为山东大学哲学与社会科学研究的重要力量,也是山东大学“985”工程和“211”工程建设的主体力量。中国古典文献学、中国古代文学、民俗学、汉语史、史学理论及史学史、外国哲学等学科以深厚的功力和创新精神饮誉学界,近年来先后承担国家、教育部及山东省重点哲学社会科学研究项目43项,取得了显著的学术科研成就,形成了独特的研究特色,受到学术界的广泛关注,其中,文献学、民俗学、先秦两汉文学、近代汉语、杜甫研究和诠释学与中国诠释学研究居海内外领先地位。
文史哲研究院非常重视对外学术交流和国际合作,先后与法国、美国、德国、日本、韩国、香港、台湾等国家和地区的高等学校或研究机构建立了实质性、长效性的学术交流和合作关系,聘请十余名国内外知名学者为研究院名誉教授、讲座教授、流动岗位特聘教授、客座教授或兼职博士生导师。
以文史见长的山东大学是海内外瞩目的文史研究重镇,文史哲研究院继承了山东大学深厚的学术底蕴和踏实求真的学术风格,实行开放创新的办院理念,努力培养人才,勤奋科学研究,在保持已有的文史学科优势前提下,研究院将进一步拓展与国际学术潮流相吻合的创新型学术研究事业。遵循“人无我有,人有我强”的原则,发挥我院多学科交叉优势,与我校文、史、哲三院优势互补,力争在未来若干年内把文史哲研究院建成在海内外广泛受到重视的山东大学最高的综合性文科科研机构,并使其中若干学科或方向位居国内外学术前沿或领先地位,成为国学研究之重镇和文史哲创新型及交叉性学术研究之繁盛乐土。

The institute of literature, history & philosophy of
Shandong University was established in 2002. It was based on the integration of the original institute of literature, history & philosophy, the institute of ancient book arrangement, and the institute of folklore research. The present dean of the institute is Prof. Fu Yongjun, the secretary of the branch of the Committee Party is associate researcher Ba Jinwen, and the associate deans are Prof. Li Pingsheng, associate Prof. Song Kaiyu and Prof. Du Zexun.
Shandong University has been excelling in the literature and history research continuously. In the 1930s, as the famous and representative writers and scholars, Wen Yiduo, Liang Shiqiu, Yang Zhensheng, Laoshe, Shen Congwen, Hong shen once composed the magnificent chapters here. Since the 1950s, the research of Chinese classical literature and Chinese language philology represented by Feng Yuanjun, Lu Kanru, Gao heng, Xiao Difei, Yin Menglun, Yin Huanxian, and the research of ancient Chinese history represented by Ding shan, Zheng Hesheng, Huang Yunmei, Zhang Weihua, Yang Xiangkui, Tong Shuye, Wang Zhongluo, and Zhao Lisheng, have made Shandong University become a very important strength of literature and history research in China and overseas. Depending on these scholars, the journal of “literature, history & philosophy” pushed
Shandong University’s humanities and academic status to the summit. But along with profound vicissitude,

At present, the institute of literature, history & philosophy consists of 6 second-level research units including the research center of philosophy, the research center of folklore, the research center of ancient Chinese literature and the literary art, the research center of Chinese philology history, the research center of classical documentation, and the research center of historical theory and Chinese history. There are 2 independent doctoral degree programs in Chinese classical documentation and Chinese folk literature, 7 joint doctoral degree programs with other institutes in ancient Chinese literature, Chinese philology, historical theory and historiography, specialized history, modern and contemporary Chinese history, foreign philosophy, philosophy of science and technology, 3 first-level discipline post-doctoral mobile stations including philosophy, literature and history, 11 master degree programs in foreign philosophy, philosophy of science and technology, folklore studies, Chinese folk literature, literary art, Chinese philology, Chinese classical documentation, ancient Chinese literature, historical theory and historiography, specialized history, modern and contemporary Chinese history. “Chinese classical documentation” has been authorized successively as
Shandong Province’s key subject and National key (cultivating) subject. “the research center of folklore” has been authorized as a
Shandong Province’s research base for non-material cultural heritage. In addition, there are 3 reference rooms in the institute, and the book collections are quite abundant.
The institute of literature, history & philosophy has a group of excellent dedicated and learned teachers. It has 43 staffs including 19 professors, 10 associate professors, 7 lecturers. Among them, there are 12 doctoral advisors. The teachers with doctoral degrees account 67 percent of the teacher populations. There are more than 210 master degree and doctoral degree candidates.

Since the establishment, the institute has made big progress in all disciplines, and become an important force on the research of philosophy and social sciences in

The studies including Chinese classical documentation, ancient Chinese literature, folklore studies, the history of Chinese philology, historical theory and historiography, foreign philosophy have won praise from the academic world by their profound abilities and innovative spirits. In recent years, the above disciplines have successively undertaken 43 key philosophy and social sciences research projects from the country, the Ministry of Education and
Shandong Province. These studies have made remarkable academic achievements, formed unique research characteristic, and received widespread attention in the academic circle. In particular, documentation studies, folklore studies, the literature of Pre-Qin and two Han Dynasty, Du Fu studies and interpretation studies, and the research on Chinese interpretation, have won praise from the academic world by the profound abilities and rich innovation, and occupied leading positions in China and overseas.
The institute of literature, history & philosophy pays great attention to the foreign academic exchanges and the international cooperation. It has successively set up long-term academic exchanges and cooperation with universities or research institutes from

Hong Kong, Taiwan and so on. It has had substantive academic exchanges and signed cooperation agreements with the sinological institutes of 9 outside universities, which include the National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilizations in Paris, University of Tokyo, Big East Cultural University of Japan, Chengjun Guan University of South Korea, Chang Yuan University of South Korea, Taiwan University of China, Yuan Zhi University, Shi Xin University, Fo Guang University. The institute also invites some outside scholars to wok as Professor Emeritus, Course Professor, Specially-invited Professor for mobile positions, Visiting Professor or Ajunct PhD Adviser.
